About RASL

Welcome to the Robust Adaptive Systems Lab (RASL), part of the Field Robotics Center at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. Our goal is to improve the performance and reliability of autonomous systems that must operate in challenging, real-world scenarios. We focus on mitigating the effects of uncertainty on several subsystems that are essential for autonomy, including control, planning, perception, mapping, and coordination. As a result, we leverage ideas ranging from classical controls to reinforcement learning and information theory.
